Rehabilitation after surgery

Knee, hip and shoulder

After a new knee or hip, what you mostly want to know is what you can and can't do. We follow your surgeon's protocol, rebuild strength and mobility, and practise what you need at home.

  • Total knee or hip replacement
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Shoulder surgery
  • After a hip fracture

Stroke rehabilitation

Stroke and acquired brain injury

Once you leave hospital or a rehabilitation centre, recovery continues at home. We work on walking, balance and arm and hand function, together with your occupational therapist and district nurse.

  • Walking practice, outdoors too
  • Arm and hand training
  • Standing up, transfers and stairs
  • Advice for partners and carers

Parkinson's

ParkinsonNet member

Our Parkinson's physiotherapists follow the Dutch KNGF guideline and focus on what you face every day: freezing in a doorway, turning over in bed, falls.

  • Gait training with rhythm and cues
  • Balance and fall prevention
  • Turning and getting up
  • Weekly group training

Geriatric physiotherapy and fall prevention

  • Strength and balance training
  • Getting up safely after a fall
  • Advice on aids and your home

  • Fibromyalgia

Respiratory physiotherapy for COPD

Physiotherapy at home

City centre and nearby neighbourhoods

If your condition means you can't come to the practice, we come to you. There does need to be a medical reason, otherwise insurers won't cover treatment at home.

  • Severe limitations or being bed-bound
  • Practising in your own home and stairwell
  • Coordination with district nurses
